Your children smile at you and the worries of the world just melt away. What can you do to protect their smiles and keep them healthy for a lifetime?

Your children smile at you and the worries of the world just melt away. What can you do to protect their smiles and keep them healthy for a lifetime? The sad fact is that tooth decay remains the most common chronic disease among children ages 5-17 – over 50 % of the United State’s children are affected by it! That is why I start dental care so early. Here at Tobin Dental Care, I recommend that we start your child’s care by the age of three. You can even bring your children with you during your dental cleanings or exams so that they get comfortable with the feeling of being in a dental office. Before their teeth are even in, you can start gently brushing gums to clear away bacteria and help your child associate tooth brushing with a pleasant experience. Once teeth have come in, you can protect them with dental sealants and regular exams and super gentle cleanings. Establishing a good dental care routine could be the beginning of a lifetime of smiles.
